Our son joined us for the rehab, he was 8 months old when we started.
We were thankful for his portable chair to keep him contained. That was until he became mobile and hated it!!

Demolition
Demoliton took some time as we had to get all of our extra "stuff" out of the salon that didn't fit into our new small space living. Then the rehab began. Lots of LONG hours were spent taking out all the old stations, the ceiling, and all the extra electrical and lighting on the two dropped ceilings.
Margies Hair Salon
These are the "before" photos. Marge owned the salon and operated it for 40 + years. All the ladies in the neighborhood came here for thier perms, colors and weekly set. In addition, she sold quilts and collected milk glass. My husband and I bought the building from Marge in November of 2004. As soon as we got the keys to the building, Erik started fixing up the apartment above the salon and we moved into it on New Years weekend. THEN the rehab on the salon started in Febuary of 2005. It was a project that ended up taking much longer than we would have guessed.
